About Emirates Airline

Emirates Airline is the largest Airline of the United Arab Emirates. It is headquartered in Dubai. It is also the largest Airline in the Middle East which is solely owned by the government of Dubai. It operates over 3600 flights per week. The EMIRATES fleet size is 300 aircraft including Airbus 360 and Boeing wide-body carriers. Emirates airlines is the World’s 4th largest Airline in terms of the number of passengers traveling and the revenue collected. The Airline flies to 150+ cities in 80 countries and comprises 6 continents.

Pregnant When Flying:

Pregnant women are allowed to select their seats if not pre-selected at least 20 minutes before the departure and are not allowed to sit on emergency seats. Pregnant women (without any complications) can book Emirates flights and fly as usual up to their 29th week of pregnancy without providing any medical note. But if you are traveling on or after the 29th week, you must have a medical certificate signed by your doctor stating that you are fit to fly. Emirates airlines do not allow you to fly after the 32nd week of a multiple pregnancy or the 36th week of a single pregnancy without permission. You must apply for the MEDIF form and have a doctor's note.

Emirates Airlines Infant Policy (under 2 years or Children):

An infant sitting on a lap can fly without charges. If you are bringing another one, you must purchase a seat for him/her and a child car seat, approved and authorised by Emirates Airlines and international aviation policies. An adult passenger is allowed 2 infants aged under 2 years to bring with them onboard. Baby aged less than 8 days are not permitted to fly onboard, the only exception is you provide a letter of approval from a physician stating that the newborn bay is fit to fly. Emirates Airlines child policy allows infants aged between 8 days and 2 years and children aged between 2 to 12 years to travel with their parents or guardians on Emirates Airlines flights.

Emirates Airlines Child Fare:

The child fare is calculated on a certain percentage of the adult fare. Your child must purchase a ticket if he/she is 2 years or older, they have turned 2 years or older during the flight, or you are traveling with 2 children, the one sitting on the seat. For international flights, irrespective of your baby’s age, you are obliged to purchase a ticket for your little one. Infants travelling on the lap can travel free of cost within US domestic travel.

Emirates Airlines Child Seating Policy:

If you bring a single infant, he/she can sit on your lap, but if there is another one, you need to purchase an additional seat along with a child bassinet according to the FAA-approved child restraint system. Passengers can request onboard bassinets free of cost through Emirates Airlines reservations. At selected international airports, bassinets are available free of cost.

Emirates Airlines Child Meal:

For child and infant meals, Emirates Airlines child policy offers nutritious and chewable food without containing species. The meal items include chopped and mashed foods.
