About Kempegowda International Airport, Bengaluru

Kempowda International Airport is the primary international airport of the city Bengaluru. It is located about 40 kilometres away from the city. The airport is owned and operated by a public private consortium, named as Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL). In terms of passenger traffic in the country, Kempegowda Airport is the third biggest airport in the country. It is also the 29th busiest airport in Asia. As far as international traffic is been considered about, it is the 5th busiest airport in the country. It is also one of the major airports in the country, in terms of handling Cargo. The airport has a single terminal which handles domestic and international destination. There are three cargo terminals in the airport including a cargo village. Terminal 1 is the main terminal of the airport and it accommodates both, domestic and international operations.
